The Birthday Girl

The Birthday Princess, crown and all.

Anna's birthday is Christmas Eve.  This year we had to wait for Aunt Cyndi to come home from work to start the party.

It was hard, but the birthday girl made it.  To help pass the time she helped decorate her cake that Aunt Laurie made.

When Aunt Cyndi got home we could start the party.  We played pin the tail on the donkey,

musical chairs, and princess piñata (swing that bat Grandma Ann!)

  I think Anna's favorite was pin the tail on the donkey - she loved guiding each participant to the donkey (notice that the height of a five year old's outstretched hands correspond almost exactly to your average adult's buttocks).

  She got so many nice gifts (thanks everybody!).

She was especially excited about her magnetic dress up dollies from Grandma Ann and Grandpa Heber and Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from Aunt Laurie and Uncle Todd.

and Aunt Cyndi made her a story book about our trip to San Francisco called, Anna Goes to San Francisco that she loves.  We have read it many times since.

Finally she got to blow out the candles and eat the birthday cake.

Mostly she loved being the absolute center of attention, and really, who doesn't love that?  I can't believe my baby is 5 already!  It is going way too fast.
