D.E.A.R. Dad

At Anna's school they had an event called D.E.A.R. Dad.  Dad's were invited to come on Friday morning from 8:00-8:30 and read with their kids in their classrooms.  It was luckily David's Friday off so he got to go.  Anna was soooooo excited for D.E.A.R. Dad (which stands for Drop Everything And Read).  David was a little concerned that there would be only Spanish books in her classroom, but when they got there Señora Hanan explained (in Spanish) that the Spanish books were to the left on the shelves and there were books with Spanish and English on the table. David was relieved and they dug right in (David was the last to leave-the teacher announced it was time to go, and they were in the middle of a book that they just had to finish!). Anna wanted to wear her Hawaii dress, and she wanted Daddy to match her in his Hawaii shirt.  Señora Hanan took this fantastic picture.
