Buddy Walk

Buddy walks are held around the country usually in the fall to encourage awareness of Down Syndrome, and to support inclusion of all people. We love going to this event. (Don't you love Anna's outfit? It is a long story involving a cold morning, and Daddy getting Anna ready by himself). Our good friend Tracie is a big part of the Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-Columbia that organizes the event here in the Tri-Cities. Besides being a lot of family fun, we get to support Tracie, and her daughter Mia. This is a picture of Megan and Morgan (Amy's girls - Amy is Tracie's sister) Big Anna and Mia, and Little Anna before the walking began. This year we got to build a tool box with the volunteers from Home Depot, meet lots of mascots that came from local teams, jump in the bouncy house, do a little face painting, play on the playground, but most of all - walk to support our Mia! If you ever have a chance to be involved with this event in your community, don't let it pass you up!
