Scaled Down Soccer

Soccer! Here in Pasco they have a great program for 4 and 5 year olds called Scaled Down Soccer. It is six weeks and the kids learn the basic skills. On the last day they divide them in two groups and play a scrimmage game. It is only once a week for 45 minutes. It only costs 22$, and her friend Big Anna (as opposed to Little Anna, which is our Anna) is in the class with her. She really loves it. It is very entertaining to watch that many 4-5 year olds try and play soccer. I get to sit in the sunshine in my camp chair with a big soda and chat with my friend Tracie. So, we are both enjoying it quite a bit. She had to miss yesterday because of the tonsils. I don't know about next week. We'll see how she is doing. She isn't supposed to be doing anything strenous for two weeks, but I would not call her activity on the field strenuos.

Practicing a couple of weeks ago before the first class. I think she is more excited about the soccer outfit, than the actual playing. These are the three coaches with some of the kids. You can identify her by the neon pink soccer socks - she is also facing away from the coaches. Hmmmmm that might not be a good sign.Warming up. Going after the ball. Water break. Playing with Big Anna and her little sister Mia after practice.
Practice in the backyard about a month ago (we do have leaves on our trees now)-she is a pretty good dribbler, as long as she's not celebrating:)

On the field at the end of practice. She seems a little tired. She goes after the ball once, but a little girl on her own team takes the ball from her (ball hog!) Just kidding, kinda.
