June 2009 Anna's Dance Recital

Anna's dance class ended in a recital on June 13th. It was quite the experience. I told her she could wear some makeup since she was going to be on stage. She was pretty excited about that. It was held at the bandstand in the park with hundreds of family and friends. Some were experienced enough to know where the shade was going to last, others of us were not so lucky. It was a very casual atmosphere which turned out to be great, because I thought we were going to have to sit through the almost 3 hour program. Luckily everyone kind of came and went as long as you didn't pack up during a number. Anna, of course loved her moment on stage. She really enjoyed Dance, and loved her teacher Ms. Aubrey who was very patient and encouraging. This is Anna's class heading for the stage. The big performance - how do you like those curtsies inside the hula-hoop? Anna is the one waving at the beginning, and the fourth girl to cross the stage.

This is coming off stage. Exhausted after the big moment.
